You've got your own thread now :)

Right
When you say car ""slows down""

What exactly do you mean?

the engine is not performing consistantly,

Does the car shake / vibrate?
Does it sound rough?
Is the engine managment light on?

Ziggy

No lights on just as I drive it sot of holds back the power then picks up again as it's on a elastic band pulled back and then let go ,if that makes sence

When was the car Last serviced?
Has there any work been done recently?

I know what you mean when you say elastic band, my old mk2 was dying of slow death
on first startup, it used to pull badly, smoke like a bitch, and then suddenly like the elastic band had let go - it'd fly

The engine was toast, oil pump was suspect failure, as head was starved of oil, and cyl1 was scraping the bore wall = No compression

****in hell ,must get it serviced I think then :)

Thanks for the advice ,also thought it maybe fuel starvation ,dirt or something in tank

i would be thinking worn plugs so putting a strain on system so the ht sparks find a quicker path to earth and then go back to the spark plugs
of course stage 2 in this scenario is a new ecu
if im right johhnie please remember me
