another dopey question from me again, I have an x reg fiat punto, is the Mk1 Haynes manual of any use to me or are they completely different.

Its just for general maintenance, screen wash, coolant, oil etc.

An X reg is 2000 plate I think? Maybe 2001. Either way yours is a Mk2
Mk1 was made up to 98 as far as I know.
But generally for what you have said you shouldn't need it anyway. All of that infromation is available on here or car manual that came with the car.

the mk1 finished in 1999 - as the mk2 started late 1999 to 2003
From Mid 2003 it became the Mk2b where it sadly ended in 2006

the mk1 engine in basic's is the same
but there are alot more electronic gizmozery in the mk2 / b

Google mk2 haynes, it's probably availible to download somewhere
