Just changed the head gasket set on punto 1.2 8valve. Starts Ok and runs fine up to 3000 revs. MPG dropped from 50 to 25!

Air filter seems OK, new plugs - what have I put back wrong? Could timing be 180 out? Injector problem, Engine management?

Engine light is on but has been for years, even when mpg was fine...

could be lamba veen registered as dead

get fiat ecu scan a cable and find out what the car thinks is wrong

but the hg probably finished it off

Also remembered that when I took the exhaust manifold off, the downstream lambda wiring connector fell apart...

Does anyone have the wiring for the connector? (or could look under bonnet - it's on a plastic clip low to the right of the exhaust manifold). 2 white, one green one black wire from the sensor. Yellow, green, whte and white/brown stripes going to the ecu - question is which joins to which!!

Of course it's the same as the wiring for the sensor above the cat! DOH!
