hi to everyone just bought 1.2 punto 8v on a w reg very pleased with car apart from very noisy fuel pump.you can hear it whirring away all of the time,was told they all do that by very helpfull salesman.i find this hard to believe ,does anyone know if this is correct.

i hear mine for 2 - 4 seconds when i first turn the key
Then dont hear it again

Is that the same noise your hearing even when engines running?

only time ive noticed a fuel pump being noisy other than at start up is when the fuel tank of an old volvo was running on fumes following a faulty fuel gauge so it was straining. may be worth getting it looked at if u got fuel in the tank.

thanks for reply, you can hear my pump all of the time.will have to get sorted.new or second hand,looks like easy job

looking on ebay for fuel pump,for 1.2 8v punto w reg.is there anything i can do to make sure i get the right one.

ask bredstikz on here first hes got some and sells cheeper than ebay
