I'm looking at fitting wind deflectors on my Mk3/2b.Any suggestions on which brands are recommended?

I saw a set of Heko deflectors on fleabay. Looked pretty nifty. I did some googling and found that they are distributed by a crowd called "jandj automotive" and they also sell to the public.
The deflectors looked pretty easy to install because they apparently fit inside the slot and are not clipped / pasted outside.
Anyone have any experience with either the seller or Heko brand deflectors?
Any other suggestions would be welcome. (y)

i have them on my punto, they look good and are really easy to fit in. wind the window down, take the paper off the sticky bits (not really needed but they there so may as well use em) and push em up into the door front to back, bending slightly to the back to get em to fit. then u push the metal clips up with a flat screwdriver to hold it in place. wind up the window and keep it there for a day or so. they not best quality deflectors u can get but good value for money, do the job and look nice. have a look at my pics to see if u like em fitted.

i suspect my punto had wind deflectors on it before i got it, as there was several little clip left inside the window seal.

trouble was, when window was fully up, when using hose /power washer to wash the car u'd usually see streams of water running down the inside of the glass

I knows Im a miserable old git but I cant see the point. More to the point, the A pillar is fat enough without blocking the driver's view even more.

Thanks for the info and the photo's.
Only concern I have, is that I don't have manual windows, but electric.
Would this make a difference in fitting?

Any other brands recommended?

yes you are ;)

the point is that you can open the window when its raining without getting soaked, a "flaw" it would seem with puntos cos ive never got so wet in other cars. maybe its just my luck. who knows, but either way it can help keep you dry whist getting fresh air in the car to help keep the windows from misting or just to let the smoke out the car if like me you smoke.

as for visibility, they are tinted, not blacked out so dont block off that much and at times have helped with sun glare too.

end of the day they are marmite. cant please everyone.

funny how everybody is wanting wind deflectors at once lol i was just thinkin it over the last week aswel and have now read about somebody else wanting them lol

i heard HEKO meant to be good...anybody actually got the HEKO ones on there car i would love to see a pic before buying :)

cheers
brin

Thanks for the relies.
HEKO is ok, by most accounts.
Any other make/brand recommended?
Not being picky, just trying to see what is actually available on the market. Fleabay is not much help IMHO...

Funnily enough mine is fine with rain drips unless its parked. The main drips problem is when opening the doors.

my roof has a annoying habit of collecting pools of water after it rains so i end up with a waterfall coming into my car when i turn a corner when i set off if my window is opened. lol

as for other makes, cant help there on what they like.
