Hi i have a fiat punto mk2 8V (2001), i was justwandering if anyone can tell me where the OBD port is on my car.

Thanks

Ok cheers, im guessing you mean the flip down panel with all the fuses and stuff in, is it easy to find the correct place to connet to and is it a standard connection.

Ok, i have found it and plugged the diagostic machine in and there are no codes coming up, the reason i did this as my car seems to judder when pulling away for the first time after engine is started, i got told that the machine would tell me if any sensors we broken or dodgy.

It judders and recently it seems harder to put it into gear 1 & 2 but others are fine, can any let me know what causes this problem.

Thanks

Try a loose or weak / failed engine mount, or more likely oil contamination on the clutch if its OK once you get past the first pull away of the day.

Ok thanks, would i just need to empty oil and replace it. And i will check the mounts.

Your car is not OBD 2 compatible, this regulation was not enforced on petrol cars until 2002. Your machine wont help a lot :(

Ok lol, the reader picked it up ok and told me the make of the car and everything, unless it does that anyways but just doesnt read codes.

 Fraid not... the leaking seal in the engine behind the bell-housing or gearbox will need replacing, IF its oil contamination. Use a process of elimination to point you in the direction you need to go with this, no point stripping out the gearbox & clutch if its something else as once you do that it would make sense to fit a new clutch assembly, which is probably what you need to do if it IS oil contamination...
