Remember I said I was going to the auction and that there was going to be a 55 SX and a 60 SX?

Well I was going to go for the 60 SX but when we were looking it over, it had obviously been in a crash, had a (very shoddily!) resprayed front wing and ripples along one side, and 70k miles. Even with all that it went for £1275.

So I went for the 55 SX. And I won it woohoo :D It was soooo excited. Could quite easily get addicted to auction buying but seeing as I now have no money I'd better not

Anyhow, about my Punto...

It's metallic blue (really love this colour), 5 door (like I wanted) and has done 36k miles. Good mileage for a P reg :)

And here are some piccies:

Inside front
Inside back

The bodywork is fantastic, and the inside is all working no problem, the only thing it did need was a damn good clean. I've never seen the inside of a car so filthy before, not like loose dirt, but thick black grime over everything! I don't think the last owners can ever have cleaned the inside once in all the time they had it. Took me two days of hard cleaning to get it nice again, but it was worth it, looks almost new now! Only thing it needs now is a new rear wiper, the rubber is coming off, but I've heard they're hard to get hold of

I just love it to bits, I would have liked a 60 over a 55 but I'm not disappointed at all, I adore my little Punto :D :D :D

Thanks to everyone who helped me when I was looking for one, especially dave, I promise to stop bugging you with a million questions now ;) :p

A trip to Poundland it is then :p

I was really pleasantly suprised by the condition of most of the cars at the auctions. It really helped though all the advice you guys gave me, like checking the gears, lifting the oil cap, checking the water etc, I made sure I did them all ;)

GhostWKD, I would swap it for a purple one anyday, that's my favourite colour :p

Is it possible to get new blue keys cut anywhere? I have 2 blue keys and a red key, but the blue keys are really worn and tatty, and they were so grimy and disgusting that even though I cleaned them with Jif, they still look manky  (Can you guess why my nickname is Monica? :p )

Well I was trying not to look like a complete newbie, but I don't think it worked, one guy who was looking the car over at the same time thought that me putting the oil cap back on was hilarious  :p

But I don't care cos he was the guy I outbid in the end ;) That'll teach him not to laugh at me :p

It cost me £1050 altogether. Slightly more than I wanted to pay for a 55, but at such a low mileage and with such good bodywork I set my limit at £1100.

Oi what you doing writing in my post  ;)

Lol :p

Oh :D I thought people would laugh at me for using nail varnish remover. Im getting good at these car things now :D

No its no good writing it there. I already feel my personal space has been invaded :( :p

EDIT: Now i look like a complete nutter :(
