You need to have the reflectors, if your car is involved in an accident the insurance company will write your car off and not pay out then you have issues with the police as to why your car wasnt road legal...

Also can be pulled over by the police at any time because of it, they will fine you and ask you to rectify it at get a MOT station sign it off (at your cost), then you have to show the document from the MOT station to the local police station.

I speak from experience, although wasn't on a Fiat.

Do certain colours look better with certain levels of tint?

I have a green mk1. Not the dark green tho. Garden or something like that:p

Verde garden I think. 369?

how do you remove the paint? I used the proper spray.

white spirit? petrol?? or something, will that work? (will I have to get new lenses? as they are as dark as you can go basically!) would rather not have reasons for the police to stop me - Ive had my fun having a different looking car but now I just need it to get me from a to b so its going back to standard.

Cheers

im going to do the rear lights black tint.but i also thort about doing the front lights aswell.so it has a match:slayer:.but is it leagle to do the front:confused:if it is how dark can you go?i should imagin it would be ok as long as light shines threw ok.am i right or can it not be done?its a mk2 5door btw if that makes any diffrence lol.

Seriously use your head. Even if it is legal why would you want to tint your front lights to reduce the light that comes through from them? Either buy black angel eyes or cut open your lights and spray the insides black.

Its legal on 3drs but not 5drs, so your out of luck there bud.

M.O.T places are cutting down on rear tinted lights now 4/7 places I rang up said it would be a fail. Im saying this due to my car having tinted lights for its first MOT and passing then this year it failed due to the rears being tinted (same MOT place) I told the guy it should be fine and he said used to be but not any more as its very recently being clamped down on the same as HIDs and number plates especialy the lights due to the poor light they let through and to be honest I agree, their not as bright once tinted and can be hard to see in direct sunlight.

My lights arent heavily tinted like some I have seen and only have 1 coat of laquer on them. Dont mention reflectors as I left them red at the bottom.

May as-well add my tinted lights for the mk1 puntoers to have a look at incase there debating weather or not to tint theres.

When you are using the tint spray, do you spray it on the outside or do you take off the entire rear light unit and spray on the inside then reattach? Please let me know because I have just ordered some black tint spray from eBay

Thanks :)
