Talking Mystery in the engine bay

I've had my Punto now for about 3 months and i've gotten to know a lot about it, found out what everthing is and does etc but i still can't figure out what this port is for, anyone have any ideas? could it be another Diagnostic port or something?

Re: Mystery in the engine bay

Do your reverse light(s) work? Could be the plug which should be connected to the reverse switch on the gearbox?

Re: Mystery in the engine bay

thats the thing ya see, everything in the car works, i make sure to check everything on the car weekly and everything works perfectly, this socket has been sitting there unused since i got the car with seemingly no ill effects.
