Yep, two switches in the Panda, one for creep when pedel lightly touched, and a kickdown switch, both of which work and have been checked(y)

Sorry about taking lil pip of topic everyone:eek:, just he never comes over the Panda section (hint hint, nudge nudge:p)

i quite fancy an old panda 4 be 4 with hella lights across the front and a roof rack in red or white would be cool

but i don't have the money to fund fun at the moment

but i know my next car will be the bravo

Across the front of a gille like mine? If a grille then good luck in getting one:p

yea a couple of big round spots were yours are to come on with the mains would be good like a rally car

it's amazing how your normal lighting power just disappears if your off-roading at night

and of course they would look cool as

the new bravo?
If so what engine?
and do you know what the 1.6 diesel is like mate?
My old man is planning on getting one at some point in the future.

He had major major major dramas with his stilo (and trying to get fiat to admit that it was a manufacturing fault ;) )

Yes, would look cool, and I know what you mean about the light desapearing when off roading, although I shouldn't:rolleyes:

If I didn't have the grille, then I'd probably fit 4 spots along the front:p(y)

Sorry everyone for being:Offtopic:

Jon.

well stilo is now regarded as a dirty word but as it happens the later ones 04 05 06 plate were perfect nice cars but by then it was too late the name was muck

the new bravo is very very loosely based on the stilo it's a hole new car and so far we have had very minimal problems on them and nothing common pops to mind so i think your farther will be very pleased if he were to get one

the new 1.6 diesel is meant to be quite a nice reliable unit from what i have heard

we haven't actually seen one yet as fiat seem to be keeping it a secret

but fundamentally it's got 35 pound road tax on a whooping great 1.6 turbo witch is briliant an has power similar to the 1.9 turbo diesel so if he's a diesel head he'd be mad to buy anything else

o and looking at the speck sheets at work there doing 60 to 70 mpg

i'm looking at a 1.2 16v old shape bravo myself

Didn't the Stilo almost make Fiat golbally go bankrupt:confused:

why a 1.2 16v?? that's an engine more suitable for a punto imo...

Probably because it's cheaper to insure and run petrol wise:)

yes basically 1.6 will be to much insurance

also the 1.2 is a very reliable unit much more so than the 1.4 12v based on the free engine heads seise up the cam's on them cambelts fall off not a good head electrics give trouble due to ecu positioning bending all the wires not for me

1.6 1.8 too big

20v nice but way out of the question
anyway i driven plenty of the 1.2s they are wicked quick in my opinion

having the 1.2 16v in a mk1 would be more insurance for a lesser car so why bother just for the sake of a sporting badge i could just as easily stick on the back of a bravo

anyway i'm really buying one for the handling

it's really a fiat coupe lets be honest

eh?? someone buying a stilo for the handling?!?!?!?

f**k me! I never thought I'd heard that one! I've always found the stilos handling (and basically everything) being too light, too vague and too "nearly there" for my taste.
The steering on my old mans (now deceased) 1.6 stilo was lighter on normal mode than my punto is on city!! there was no feedback in the pedals, the gearshifts had no feel whatsoever, there was no weight in anything at all!

Oh sod it, I'll buy a landrover defender and stfu :D

No, he's buying a Bravo not a Stilo (y)

actually i always thought stilos handled very well

althou they are meant to be relaxing comfortable things

althou saying that the new bravo is much tighter and nicer to drive from a sporty point of view

the stilo has soft suspension and over servoed brakes and light steering

i can agree with you on the steering it's too light an hss no feed back

but the grip they had round the bends coupled with lots of entertaining body roll was quite impressive specially with bigger tyres on

you have to remember that ride comfort and handling are 2 different things don't get them confused or crossed

but the gearboxs were fine the 1.6 1.4 1.2 used the 514 514r in the 1.6 case the rest were 510 and the 5 cylinder box all good boxes
