166 Mk2 year 2000 @ 60k miles, 8V 1242cc 3Dr, consumed 2 clutches,1 headgasket, 1 oxygen sensor, set of rear shocks....but a great blast/fun vs cost.
At low speed vs rough surface, there is slight mechanical knocking/play in steering.
At Rest there is a slight play in steering, i have traced this down to the universal joint in the upper steering colum just near the power steering motor (i can see the wear in the pin/and yoke of the joint when rocking the steering)
Is this joint replacable ? or should i wait until the Power Steering fails and just replace the lot?
