Hello

I previously posted a thread about a starting / clock / dash problem. Following the great advice from the Forum members I have carried out some further tests & investigations. Concluding with the suggestions made, the battery is past it's best. (the car is a 2004 punto 1.3 Multijet TD)

I am now looking to change the battery and have the following questions

1) Any suggestion as to what battery to fit, I would like one that lasts longer than this original one (3.5 years)
2) Can I fit a heavier duty one?
3) After changing the battery are there proceedures to be followed for entering key and radio codes or using special master keys. Or can you just swap the battery without any hassle?

All comments and information welcome

Many thanks:worship:

1,2) fit a battery with the same capacity - if its higher you may have problems with your alternator. only 3.5 years for a battery isn't that uncommon - have you never owned a ford? 3years and 1 day is the norm (just outside guarantee)

3) keys will be ok but radio may lose code - not sure what one is fitted to your car
