AFAIK the transmission oil specified for 1996 Punto 55S is Tutela ZC 80S, i.e. SAE 80W API GL-4 oil.
I was told the oil is discontinued and they offered Tutela Epyx, SAE 80W-90 API GL-4+ oil, or Tutela ZC 75 Synth, SAE 75W-80 API GL-5.
Which one is more suitable for Punto with 176B2.000 engine and 5-speed gearbox? If there are more types of gearbox used in Punto, is the gearbox type stamped somewhere?

all the oil sugested will work and wil not cause any problems

but from experience with the same gearbox in my punto

Tutela ZC 75 Synth, SAE 75W-80 API GL-5.

gives a very nice shift and good cold operation properties
