I have a squeaking noise coming from the right rear swingarm, and I have noticed that the noise disapears every time I drive during the rain. The noise is frustrating and yet very tedious. Can anyone help me out please? :bang:

If its a MK2 use the 'search' function.

I think there is an issue with the swingarm bushes worning out and there's no grease nipple to lub, at least that's what happened to my '99 Punto, I got an MOT advisory for that because the wheel was showing a bit of play

Sorry you're right about that, it's a mark 3 punto 2004 model with a 1.2 litre engine.

I'd lubricate the handbrake cable holders first.

I have never thought of that and it could be the cause, but I unfortunately I can't try it right now as it is raining here in Malta, but I will let you know when it stops raining.
