Me dad drove me car today and when we went round a corner there was this noise.
me dad said the ball joints have gone.

does anyone have an idea how much this is going to set me back?

well it depends wht this noise is

any idea were this noise is coming from front or back right or left

it wont be more than a few hours labour and maybe between 10 and 30 quid parts depending what it is

Is it that thing that joins your balls?

Something like a string in ya nuts....

Sounds like front left of car, cant really describe the noise lol. i just thought it was my wheels hitting off the bumper

is the noise continuous or only over bumps does it happen when you turn the wheel what kind of speeds have you heard it at

Its usually when turning corners that ive noticed it

well the most expensive joint to fail is the inner rack joints as you may need a hole rack for them

but i think it's likely
bottom ball joint
track rod end
both very cheap to put right

do keep us updated as what it was how much you had it done for

Is it a knocking noise? As pip has said bottom ball joint, track rod end or could be the droplink for the anit-roll bar.

they dont have drop links they are bolted to the bottom arms

but the bushes could potentially fail

I shall have to get it checked after christmas when i have some spare cash to get it sorted

Well, ive finally got round to booking it in to be fixed, only as the noise got scarier and happens more often so everytime i do 70 i just have images of the wheel snapping off, lol
