Hi Guys,

My cv joint from my hgt is broken, what is a good brand to replace them with.
SKF, JP group or what else

SKF are OE on many with their wheel bearings. Don't know if they make CV joints, but they will not compromise their reputation with cheap stuff, so will source well.
Don't know who JP Group are. They may buy from SKF, or another reliable source, or could be a far eastern copy.
I'd go with the SKF.

GKN has always been a favourite with me: https://www.gknautomotive.com/ However just of late I've not seen their products around so much as I used to. For myself I would buy this sort of component either from a trusted manufacturer specific supplier - for instance Shop4parts: https://www.shop4parts.co.uk/ - or one of my local trade factoring businesses: SRS: https://allianceautomotive.co.uk/member/24736/srs-autoparts-edinburgh/ or Pentland Components http://www.pentlandcomponents.com/

If buying from one of the factors I would take pretty much whatever brand they were offering and, because I've never had problems with anything they've supplied in the past, I would buy with confidence. Trade factors survive because they supply good quality parts at reasonable prices and quickly to the motor trade. If any one of these three parameters start to be repeatedly missed the trade will buy elsewhere. So These organizations take a lot of care sourcing quality goods at good prices.
