I bought this car and it has been lowered, the springs need replacing so can someone tell me how you tell how much it has been lowered by compared to standard?

Also if say its been lowered by 5cm then can i put springs that will lower it by only say 3cm? So therefore its slightly higher or do i have to replace the springs with identicals which means then i will definitely need to know how much it has already been lowered by.

Were the shocks replaced too then? Or do you have the standard shocks still on and just different springs?
Is that why you are worried about going higher again?

It's hard to say how much the car has been lowered without seeing any pics of it.

But if you are replacing all 4 on standard shocks then you should be able to go to any ride height, right back up to standard....which on a 60s is high (sporting standard is lower by 20mm)

Pics would help (y)

I have g-max shocks but the garage told me that the shocks were fine but the springs were corroded and needed to be replaced asap. I will try to post some pics later as i really need to know how much it has been lowered by at the moment so then i can decide which ones i need to keep it at the same rideheight or raise it slightly.

Picture as requested, if anyone has an ideas then let me know. Does anyone know what the standard rideheight measurement is?

Thats a hard one.. :chin: looks like 35mm all around, but it looks the same height as Munkuls Punto and that has 40/45 - back/front, if you have G-Max Struts you normaly find that they are shortened which means you may find it hard to put higher springs on

I can tell that the struts on the front have been changed from the standard so i would presume that the struts are shorter, am i being daft in thinking that if i could find out what the standard rideheight is then i could measure the difference?
