My manual does not indicate any difference. All places where the shoes bear on the backplate, the pivot at the bottom for the shoes and the place where they slot into the wheel cylinder should be lubricated VERY SPARINGLY with copaslip, being careful not to contaminate the linings. Many types of self adjuster will not do a good job otherwise.

New rear brake shoes need new hand brake pivots on the back plate and maybe new slave cylinders. At the very least run some new brake fluid through.

Unless they are clearly worn, the drums are probably fine. In many cases the shows will also be fine and the problem is caused by the handbrake pivots
