Hi guys
I'm hoping for some help, I've bought a set of front discs and pads (all Pagid brand) to replace on my sisters Punto Evo whilst she's back home from uni over the Christmas break. I've changed several
Sets on many different models of cars but thought I'd take a look at a guide before she got back, I've noticed that some people say the Evo model (which she has I believe, with a 1.4 petrol engine) have different calliper mounting bolts , not the standard 13mm heads but possibly a torx head or even an e-torx head. I've spoken to Fiat parts and they advise they "think" a star head bolt (guessing they mean torx) but I'm not sure. I've got standard torx tools but not e-torx. Can anyone advise the correct tool I'm gonna need and if poss the size of the head/socket I'll need, thanks in advance!!

Wow thanks for the reply, worried it'd be e torx, do you know what size so I can nip down halfrauds and buy a socket?
Why must the use a 7 MM Allen head?

I'm glad you said that Andy, just checked my tool box and I've got a brake calliper tool from one on my old fiesta's, never knew what size it was used it on a couple of Fords in the past!! Measured it and seems to be 7mm

Just the e torx to sort now!!!

It's an e16 on the external torx (known as female torx) Halfords do a set for 15.99 and it's the biggest in the set. You NEED to use a bar on the Rachet for extra leverage to undo.

Be careful to with the disc aligning bolts ( torx 30) as they are made of some kind of soft cheese and round off so easily it's untrue!!
