I tried to find some bars that looked reasonably stylish without costing a fortune. They're for a ladder, hence the stubby ariel.

and some heat shrink for the hook end in case you contact the roof....

I had some rather long ones on mine the other year.... had a high vis vest cable tied to the bottom rung flapping marking the over hang was followed by a traffic cop most of the way and they never batted an eye lid.... im just unsure how much overhang your allowed :confused:

Already inherited some! It's going to have a reasonable sized triple on there, I'll give it a try soon. As far as roof bars go I don't think they look too bad! It would be handy to get a bike rack too.
 
Thanks, they do whistle. I need to pick up a ladder soon but I won't need them until the new year after that so they may come off for a while.
