Okay so I've ordered my EVO and one thing I hope to do to it is what I was going to do to my Grande Punto but now I am trading it in I dont really think it's worth it.

Some people probably don't notice or are bothered by it but I am lol

At the rear of the car the EVO and the Grande Punto both have one reverse light bottom left and one fog light bottom right.

This makes the rear of the car un-symmetrical and bothers me a bit too much much lol

At the bottom of this post I've attatched a photo of another forum user who changed his rear fog light for the European spec reverse light located at the bottom right over there.

I personally prefer this look alot more.

Asked Chris@Souls (a trader on here) and he can't get one just yet but I will get one as soon as he can for me.

What do you guys think?

Personally i think your nuts, and i hate you because ever since you pointed this out ive noticed it on soooo many bloody cars!

Must admit, I have noticed it on a few different cars and thought "Well, that's just silly - the car looks unbalanced" (amongst other choices of phrase including crap, wonky, odd and eh?! lol)

It's really annoying isn't it.

Nearly all cars these days that have fogs, have uneven/odd light clusters and set up's.

I dont know why manufacturers dont sort it out.

So what do you need to change this? Just a european spec reverse light? Where do you get them?

You can order the left hand drive part from Fiat directly if all else fails.

Note that by law you require a rear fog light but you do not require a reverse light. Personally I think you should have to have both.

It just so happens im polishing a left hand drive cluster for my 1996 Fiat Bravo. I have used two reverse lenses and put a red bulb in the right lens for fog.

I'll be putting a chrome coated red glowing bulb in my euro spec reverse cluster when I get it. This is so when the bulb isn't lit there is no colour visible inside. The guy who's car I used as an example did this :D

Fiat are abit all over the place with this - my Mk1 Punto had 2 rear fogs and 2 reversing lights, then when i got the Mk2 Punto, it only had one of each, which appears to have continued on the Grande Punto & Evo, sadly.

The Stilo ive got has two reverse lights & two fog lights, thankfully. Tho i've no idea about its likely replacement, the Bravo, or any other current Fiat models.

Other manufacturers have curious designs for their lights too - the Focus also has the reverse light in the bumper. I think it's a daft idea as theyre too low for alot of people to see close up in other cars. Am suprised there's no set standard to adhere to.

Im sure its legal to have NO reverse light as a long time ago my old mk1 or 2 fiesta failed an MOT for having a reverse that did not work,, so i just removed the lamp (bolted below bumper) & it passed,, but you need a Fog light though,,

Also i was in the PNG (Performance Nova Group) were alot of us fitted Euro Nearside light clusters removing the reverse totally as well.. balancing the rear end there,,

Yeah thats right about having no reverse light, I could just get a euro fog cover and have a red reverse but I want a reverse light and a fog lol

Ok so I got the car now and found out that the bulbs that are in the reverse and fog lights are different to the Grande Punto. So I can't have a chrome coated glowing red bulb in a clear european reverse light. So instead I ordered the european fog light to replace my reverse light. It would be two red lights at the bottom intead of one white and one red.

Well the part arrived but they sent the UK one so was no use to me

Now have to wait maybe a long long time until this is possible :(
