Hi,

Found this website last night and it looks to be very helpful ...and hopefully can help with my questions on potential 4x4 purchase ...

I test drove a std 1.2 dynamic and a 4x4 (a demonstrator now ready for sale) today. Really liked the 4x4 - not 100% sure on the colour (it was black ?...any thoughts please ?) ....but it had the skydome which I'd want in any other 4x4 and it also had the third rear seat belt (again think this would be useful for my circumstances ) ..but this is what concerns me - all the specs I have seen state you can't have the 3rd belt with the skydome...but this one has it, however it does not have the rear headrests which I also thought you got with the 3rd seat belt...I'm concerned this is a dealer fit (it looks a bit heath robinson in that there are gaps around the headlining that I've mentioned to the dealer) ...

The car is a 55 plate - 1900 miles and the dealer is talking of less than the asking £7,950 (my guess is £7,600) ..though I haven't started serious discussions yet and he has already offered free 1st year service and 12 months tax.

Given that I only went to test drive a panda (and a 4x4 in particular) today with a view to counting it in or out of a wider new car search I'm concerned that I may jump on this one without much background searching ....so wanted to know what people think to this price ?

My main concern is the colour - I like the contrasting black bumper / wheel arch and side trims and think the black isn't ideal as it doesn't show this contrast... ...but that said I'm not sure of any other colour that I could live with *( I think I like the brighter colours like the yellow but wonder if this is a personal thing and that others (not panda aware say ) would think it looked like a noddy car !?) ...help !)

Thanks in advance
Nick

Hi Nick.
I have just bought a 4x4 in red which i thought contrasted nice with the black bumpers and other trim. I payed £7695 no skydome but had climate control and only 10 miles on the clock

Thanks for the reply - guess that means the starting price of £7,950 is off the mark given that it is 6 months old with 1,900 miles on the clock....though I wonder if given the salesman "gives" of 12 mths tax and 1st service already offered without my expressing an interest will maybe mean the selling price might be around or lower than your buy price ....
