With the recent weather did anyone take their Panda out on the snow?

I used my Panda in the snow in Athens last January and the car was amazing. With the snow tyres there was completely no need for snow chains and the car was driven in 15-20 cm of fresh snow without problem. In icy and melting snow the situation was also very good and if you keep your foot on the gas the car is like going on train rails.
It was very funny to see larger SUV having problems because of wrong tyres and weight to stuck and the small Panda going like grazy(y)
the following is not mine but is very close to what I did when I found room for drifting in an airfield.

Just returned from a dodgy journey through West Yorkshire  where I rather foolishly took a detour off the M62 via country roads where the snow had just fallen. Rather shocked at how bad the 2wd Panda is in snow - probably the 4wd version is superb.
I was going at a snails pace and when putting the brakes on it slid, the ABS going like crazy but making no difference, couldn't stop it from sliding. I used the handbrake to try and scub off some speed (doing about 3mph!) and keep distance between me and car in front. Does anyone else think it is poor on grip - perhaps the 155 tyres are poor quality or just too small? The tread on the Continentals looks quite modest and struggles to get any front end grip.
Does anyone else have the alloys with 165 tyres that are better in the snow and rain?
I was thinking of upgrading but now pretty certain.
