Hi, new to this, so bear with me.
I have 2009 panda 4x4 1.3 multijet. I've been told that my turbo has corroded and needs replacing. I can buy one cheap enough, but how much would I expect to pay for fitting?
Thanks

There will be others along shortly with far more expertise than me. But I would question the diagnosis as I assume they would have to take the turbo off to tell you it was corroded?

If the engine has only had gentle use then it may be the actuator rod needs freed up, which is a so it yourself job and should cost you no more than your time.

Hi
The actuator rods stick on these turbos, did mine my self a couple of months ago
Its a 20min job and a squirt of WD40 and its working perfectly again
Search Fiat Fiorino section as its been dealt with in detail
There are video's on youtube as well

When a garage tell you the car needs a new very expensive part you need to ask why.

It could be the part has failed there would be other symptoms they should demonstrate.

However, "corrosion" and "turbo" do not fit so you need to get a second opinion.

Turbos are generally very reliable and rarely fail without symptoms such as smoke and poor fuel consumption.
