General 100HP EPS Steering column.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me whether the column for the 100hp has the same part number as the other 169’s? I was under the impression they were different, but I notice Shop4Parts lists all models as having the same number.

What's important is the colour of the cableloom. I think all non ESP cars have the same sensor/column wether they are 100Hp or 1.2/1.1.

A remanufactured column will cost you about £200 service exchange. The torque sensors are much less cost but you will need to read the How To threads on the subjects.

WPS are another supplier this is low cost but may be just the torque sensor. Phone call them all to discuss.

Can’t really work it out, I’ve bought one from Shop4Parts which they’ve assured me is the right one, but the part number also says it’s for the 1.1 and 1.2. I wouldn’t have thought any more about it, but it’s the second one I’ve had to buy. The first one I got wasn’t right, when I pressed the sport button the steering became lighter. The guy at Western Power Steering (who supplied it) said it was because it wasn’t for the 100 and then reconditioned my original column. I just don’t want to have to change it twice again.

Why not ask the guy at Western Power Steering to tell us the difference between 100HP steering and a plain vanilla Panda. Pretty much everyone here thought there were all the same. By the looks of it that's not the case.

Just to answer my own question (and just in case anyone else in the future is considering buying one), they are different. I now have City steering when I press the Sport button. On the plus side, I quite like it.

Can you feed that back to S4P so they can update their information. Generally they are really good at knowing the important details like this.
