Recently bought a grey Panda 100hp turbo, which has turned out to be a rather big POS unfortunately...

To cut the story short, the standalone ECU is shot. The car is misfiring badly and barely running - I've replaced plugs, coils, etc. and eliminated other possible issues. A new identical ECU to the one that's fitted and wired up is around £850 before having it mapped, so what I was wondering was, rather than doing that, would it be possible to replace the bare engine with an Abarth 500 unit, along with the engine loom, ECU, key and lock set as an alternative?

It already has an A500 turbo, manifold, cat, inlet manifold, etc, so I'm hoping the other parts should be a fairly easy swap from an A500 to the 100hp?

I know it's a bit of an odd thing to ask about, but any help and input would be greatly appreciated. I'd be looking to squeeze a few more horses out of it eventually (Say 250bhp+), so the Abarth engine would be a step in the right direction over the original 100hp one.

Thanks in advance!
