Got 68.3/68.6/67.7/68.2 mpg 'first click to first click ' mostly at same pump over last four thankfully so fair to say Im averaging around 68mpg I think ! Indicated was 79.6 on last tankful but I've gotten as high as 100mpg on out and back 80mile total daily commute and rarely get under 80mpg indicated .I think I once did a tankful at around 86/76mpg indicated / actual .
Did 498 miles but had around another 20 miles left in her this week .Refilled to first click with 33.18 litres .
I'm starting to think even the same brand of fuel can vary in quality /smokiness .Tesco is just about ok if used in same week but got smoky (?) on me after a week of the car sitting while on hols .If you've got a station you like Id say keep using it .My local Maxol seems to be far better fuel than the super cheap 'busy' one I refuelled in this week .Could be temperature changes also - just my random opinions .( Unscrupulous retailers petrol('stretching') as well as diesel now are both often causing serious engine trouble here in Ireland in last year or so )
At the end of the day I'm driving very gently and was getting 70mpg back in the 90s in charades and 106s/AXs ....Are the very latest MINIs etc any better than Panda ?

That's pretty good. If you were putting 33.18 litres in though, your needle must have been almost flat! Just be careful at this time of year with letting it go so low. You never know with the weather and you could end up getting stuck somewhere and run out.

I normally run Maxol and avoid the supermarkets. I've heard too many stories about problems with Tesco fuel. I'd use BP if I can't get to it though.

Worst fuel for my Panda was Sainsbury's. I was tempted to use it just the once by a 20p off per litre voucher. The car drove like 40 of his 65 horses had the cold and just couldn't be bothered. I thought something was seriously wrong with the car till I filled up with proper fuel and the problem suddenly disappeared.

Yeah the 10 cent off a litre lured me into T35c0 last time . On a side note while I would have expected to save around a fiver as a result there was only a quid or two in it . Wouldn't bet my life on a litre BEING a litre there :-(

It was alright for first week but 'got' smokey after .For sure 'Apple' brand is not worth the saving .
