I got some 16" Fiat 500 rims in my hands so I had to try it out :slayer: What do you think?

I don't bought them, they are from a friends ride. The black rims are my winter steel wheels. I have the 15" 100hp rims for summer. The 500 wheels are cool but not 100% what I want. I don't drove them so i can't say how they are.

They look nice, but I think the standard ones which are blockier, suit the more blocky styling of the Panda. I've got those wheels on my 500 and have them though, weigh a ton though.....

Wheels look good - a little bit 'large'. I've always fancied 'minilite' look wheels. The Yanks have them for their 500s.

As for the photos - some neat pics - nice composition, but your camera is struggling on focus in low light and showing some degree of shake in the garage shots.

The night/rain ones are pretty slick and with no shake - so you're either using 2 different cameras or you have a tripod! Also, some of the shallow dOF looks a bit 'post-processing' on the daylight shots.

Share your kit just for interest.

Hi ABI100, you know what your talking about (y) You are a photographer right?
The garage photos were made spontaneously. So the only camera I could use was the 60£ Canon PowerShot A470 owned by the garage :D
Almost all the photos in my blog are taken with my Olympus E-PL1. Only the night photos with the black rims are photographed with the canon eos 550d I borrowed from my brother. I'm not a pro photographer, it's more a hobby for me. I have fun shooting and editing photos and learn more about it to improve it.

EPL-1 is nice and very capable. I use two m43 - both the other firm - Panasonic G2 and GH2 with a variety of lenses. I dumped my Nikon DSLR - too bulky and I like EVF.

Do yourself a favour and get an old manual focus Nikon/Canon/whatever 50mm f1.8 lens and the associated cheap Chinese adapter - the f1.8 lenses are not dear and can give delicious shallow focus and low ISO in low light.

I rarely take ones of my car to be honest - more of scenery or whatever. But on holiday I try and get decent ones of the hire cars. Here's a couple - bear in mind the quality sucks on my website cos I have to pay by the byte. Nothing fancy:

New Panda Mk4- not keen on the exterior interior. Prefer the Mk3

A Fiesta - ugh. Capable but dull and ugly

The classic Mk3 Panda!

Aha! Another PBase user...! I use a Nikon D200, with a variety of lenses; and also prefer landscapes (which is why my car shots aren't up to much...). I'm also experimenting with just using my iPhone; and only now use my iPad to edit... -- makes life interesting....

What's your user name on PBase (PM me if you want...)? Mine's homeward (SRW). See you around...! (y)

PS: Sorry to take this even further off-topic.... ;)

Oh a panasonic user, I'm thinking about buying a G5 because it has some cool features and the display is a touchscreen and moveable. The photo quality is better and it looks good. Maybe I get the Panasonic pancake 20mm/1.7f, a very good lens.

D200 was a decent camera and still capable of excellent images - the 6mp is now a bit restrictive - and I hated my D70 for gathering dust on the sensor - never get this with the M43 cameras cos of the cleaning system.

The Panny G5 is better than the G3 for sure - 20mm f1.7 is useful - can be a bit slow on focus. The EVF for me is the most important - forget trying to focus via a flat screen on the back.....

Both of you guys have really nice photos on pbase (y)
I fully agree with you, an evf is a thing i always miss at my epl1. It was really difficult to focus right with the screen when i had the Canon lenses on. And in low light conditions the auto focus speed of the kitlens is bad. I think the G5 is the right camera to get me further.

I didnt run the wheels. I just tried them to see how it looks. I think the 500 must have the same tire size like the panda so there is no problem with the speedo.
