Has anyone ever weighed a stock 100HP alloy, either on its own or with tyre?

I was browsing for potential track day wheels and see that the 7x15 Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 wheel is listed at 6.2kg, which seems insanely light. A set of 4 could shave a bunch off the unsprung weight of the car, I'm thinking...

Wow, so those Team Dynamics wheels that I've asked Father Christmas for really will decrease the unsprung weight by quite a bit.

Hmmmm...

The stock wheels weigh 8.3kg brand new, but as FIAT designed the 100hp to have a Stonehenge size turning circle, reverse parking is impossible. Thus, you always drive front end in and kerb your wheels.

After 6 months of this exercise your newly lightened 100hp wheels weigh in at 6kg. Sadly, after balancing them at your local tyre shop they need 3kg of zince to stop the wheel shaking.

I'm one of the world's worst parkers - as Mrs b_u would confirm - but I often reverse into parking spots in the 100HP, I think the larger turning circle is less of an issue that way, and haven't touched a kerb in four years.

8.3kg is the same as a Speedline Turini in 15inch (they are mega strong though) OZ Ultraleggera is 5kg!

Glad someone else has mentioned the turning circle !
Was gob smacked the first time I tried to 3point in the road at the station.
No chance!

Aaaah yes - the turning circle! It's the one car where, when manoeuvring this small car in public you feel the need to mouth words and gesticulate to any watching audience that it's not your driving skills that are amiss, but that the 6-speed box means a wide turning circle.

You should try the 500 with the 1.4 - it's even worse. The 5-speeders are great though - but even then, no match for the Seicento.

I used to run Desmond Regamasters on my old Honda. They weighed just 3.98kg each - they were an aluminium based alloy. that was 15 x6.5. 10kg with 195 50 tyres.

Not sure about centre bore for italian cars but proper jap wheels are massively light compared to so called uk ones

Does anybody know a site that gives the weight of each tyre?

I am not willing to change rims, but I surely want to know the weight of my possible future choices.
