General Lack of a locking fuel cap...

the price of petrol these days is making me take a second look at a lockable cap..
There's supposed to be an anti-syphon gizmo in there. Doesn't stop someone taking a **** in your tank though...

Am Imissng something here....how do you know when someone has done this in the first place?

Your car won't go.
Water is denser than than petrol and will sink down to the bottom where the fuel line will suck up neat water, or similar liquids...

How is it that as a nation we seem to be ignoring the fact that fuel prices are spiralling ever upwards when wages are standing still or going down and it's not even being mentioned in the press?

According to the AA report 2010, the UK is only the tenth highest country in Europe for unleaded fuel. :D

Absolutely, and I couldn't agree more. Prices are at an all-time high and yet there is less media coverage than ever. The cheapest around here is 121.9p (n)

I think most people assume cars have locking caps as standard these days...so, even though I brought it up originally...shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! :p I forgot about the anti syphon feature, I still reckon locking caps are more trouble than they're worth, especially on Fords in my experience.

Main cause of fuel price increases are the sheer amount of money printed this year, means your pound buys less (thanks spivs/bankers!) and of course market speculators buying up commodities like oil (thanks spivs/bankers!)

Fuel is going up by a penny tomorrow, and VAT is going up on the 4th so nearly 4p increase...

Just think yourselves lucky you're driving a Panda eh? :D

You'll be doing it loads in the 100hp due to the small tank.

Trust me it is not as bad as my scooter, I used to ride that 30miles a day you could only ever get about 6 litres into the tank when you brimmed it, I used to have to fill up ever other day! :(
