Ths month's Evo popped through the letterbox this morning. The buying guide is for the 100hp this month:) Shame it couldn't have been last month as I might have had more interest in mine.

I've never really thought the 100hp deserved the praise and almost "cult hero" status heaped on it by this mag, but the article is well worth a read if you're in the market for one(y)

It's issue 151, should be in newsagents on Monday. It's actually my car in the pics, it was a great day out for the shoot and the pics look fantastic (I am biased though!).

The car also makes a cameo appearance behind Chris Harris' Jag XKR. Think I need to start talking repeat fees and buyout clauses for the wee car.....

Posrsche guide was in the last issue, so you've picked up the previous one.

The Boxter was shot at the same time as the Panda and was absolutely lovely, had a poke around and it just looked and felt amazing and was fully loaded.

If I had a few more pennies saved away in the new car fund than I currently do I would have been seriously tempted to put in an offer on it as it was a whole lot of car for the money.

My copy still hasn't arrived, but can someone answer a question for me. Do all the Panda 100HPs have an mp3 compatible stereo or just the 07 onwards cars? If the headunit does not have mp3 under the cd slot im assuming it wont play mp3 cds.

Got it in one!

My car (March 2007) doesn't have a MP3 compatible CD player, like you said, if it shows MP3 on the unit itself then it does it.

Long termer reports at the bottom of the page.

Thats not the buying guide, that was the original review when it was launched.

I bought a collectors copy of issue 151 from ebay for just a quid. Personally I dont think the guide was that good for the 100HP. Even though the car has only be out for 4 years there was loads of faults listed. Everything from suspension, transmission, brakes, interior and electrical problems. It even says that the engine is susceptible to head gasket failure if the coolant mixture isnt maintained. It also said that the quailty of the paint is very poor.

If I was reading that and thinking of getting a 100HP I wouldnt be thinking about getting one afterwards.

Would you rather have three pages of blank copy with some pictures of the car with a line at the end saying 'buy this car, it's dead good'?

The point of the buying guide is to give an idea of the general faults that might occur with the car and point these out to potential buyers. Reading the guide it's hard to disagree if you search through some of the faults that are thrown up by this forum...
