Mht be good if the triumvirat stops barking and help finding a solution for the original posters problem.
This then would aid other users having the same problem.
speaking in riddles Peter?
or you could just upgrade the standard intake pipes with silicone ones from Samco or SFS like:

the standard plastic moulded pipe that attaches to the throttle body inlet looks restrictive so the above cannot be worse
has that dude not just used half samco and some sort of cover over the other? looks too difrents shades

That modification actually makes more sense than having the standard rigid plastic pipe there..giving engine movement ..some thing is bound to give and get ripped out sooner than later..
I don't understand why I should spend money on buying expensive pipes in all honesty. The bits fallen off I just wanted replaced. I am not wasting money on modding this car because OEM build quality is shoddy.
I don't go round showing people my engine so i'm not interested in what it looks like.
I've been running around now for two weeks with no induction piping, its louder that is all. I seriously doubt the stock piping poses any restriction tbh. Whilst I agree that putting on samco hoses will not make the situation worse I do not believe it will offer any improvement either.
thanks for your input but all I want is my 3 month old car to have all its parts attached to it!
if you own Fiats for any length of time you will soon find yourself replacing and upgrading bits and bobs as they fail or fall off, might as well get used to it and use it as an opportunity!
Hmm if that's the case I think i've made a mistake buying it. The thing is I bought a new car because I didn't want to mess about with it, just wanted reliable, predictable motoring.
This is my work car, I don't want to be messing around with it modding it. I've spent far too many years modding cars really and know that really it's a mug's game though an enjoyable one.
So really I expect the dealer to sort it out so that it doesn't happen again.
