Anyway, back to my questions.

I am looking to discretely modify the Panda with a subtle exhaust.
Anyone had any experience with the Novotec single rear silencer or any other discrete exhaust for that matter.?

Also, anything I should particularly look out for when choosing the car.? I have read about the MP3 CD problems, anything else i need to know about??

Well,sorry can't help with the exhaust and the only things to look for are as you say the MP3 Stereo and i'd also ask for a locking fuel cap to be fitted (you can't syphon anything out but people could put nasty stuff in ).Is the car gonna be new? if not check that the brakes don't make noises when going slowly and there are no squeaking noises coming from the drivers seat apart from that I can't think of any other known faults

Yeah Med, known faults so far since December 2006 UK release are:

1. MP3 fitted/not fitted shambles (depends on whether you want one or not)
2. Squealing brakes
3. Creaking driver's seat bolster
4. Varying degrees of satisfaction with Bluetooth phone connection

Oh, and front end can be quite vulnerable to stone chips (soft paint).

As for single rear silencer are you talking about a centre pipe? If so can't see that being compatible with the rear bumper skirt/fake diffuser.

I would be looking to buy about 6month old as that fits nicely into my price bracket, But there are some cracking new deals at the mo.

I will be looking for the Electroclash Grey colour. The red looked great, but the black bits stood out to much for my liking. White looks awsome and very rare but has the same problem in my opinion.. I would like to see a white one in the flesh though as the pictures look great.

No, not a centre pipe, I want it to be discrete. I would like it to sit in the same place as the original.

Can a dealer sort the Squealing brakes and creaking driver's seat bolster?? Or is it a case of "they all do that sir, nothing we can do"??

Good choice, exactly what i did.

Make sure you get all the warrenty transfered into your name as well as the remaining AA cover.

ex demo car 6 months old in Grey :slayer:

edit - wouldn't changing the exhaust invalidate the warrenty ???

Judging by the price of used ones on Autotrader (more than I paid new) you'd be better off finding a dealer to do a great price on a new one

also check regularly for uneven wear on the front tyres, apart from that, make sure no one crashes into you lol
