Panda owners should revere the Allegro. After all, it was the Allegro that first featured the Squircle as a design statement (although Austin used the term Quartic to describe their squircle-shaped steering wheel).

An old friend of mine had a metallic green Allegro Vanden Plas. If you thought the Allegro couldn't possibly be made any worse, then google the VP version. Noddy's car writ large. (But at least hers wasn't in hearing-aid beige...)

The Corsa "limited edition" should be on there due to the hilarity of the misused name....

Pah, that's just generic bought in content, the scourge of proper journalism.

Anyone else think that 1998 Rover looks way better than most Rovers? I mean, it's actually quite a nice looking car. Colour me amazed.

The BRM rover wasn't just a tarted up special edition by any means, it was based on the "hot" model as it was at the time, had lovely 50's style seats and brushed aluminium inserts all over (including door pulls iirc) but also featured lower suspension, unique damping and most impressively of all, a close ratio box and limited slip diff.

The Felicia fun was also a fantastic special edition.

Proof this article was written by the clueless.

There were a few nice models there actually, I liked the antarctic edition and I'm ashamed to admit the Kung fu Panda made me grin! :-D

What are those VW vans... the modern ones with the DRLs, silly alloys, about four stacked layers of the flattest attempt at a body kit ever and the red GTI line across the front to top them off.

They should make the list. They’re just to over the top? For a VAN. The drivers too ... they give you a look as if they’re driving a Ferrari that I could only ever dream of [emoji28]

Me too!!!!!

It looks flippin' ACE!!!

You probably don't get may Torygraph readers driving Pandas, which I'm actually quite pleased about.

I could actually be described as being quite smug about it, but I'm not a Torygraph reader, so I genetically find that quite hard to do.

This one looks like a hoot: https://youtu.be/E1BZS4VeaFU

Tally ho!

My brother threatened my Panda recently so I sent him a pic of this with a warning to watch it. I wonder what powers it. I think it was a standard diesel. Would be good at fending off the overgrown German 4x4 club at the traffic lights!

Tally ho!

Now THATS what I CALL a special addition!

Sportline or highline, no a special edition and so don’t count :p

I seem to think it was a new panda body cobbled on to a very old Jeep from the 1980s (probably the only thing with similar enough chassis dimensions)
It had the 6 cylinder petrol engine from the jeep as well with very unimpressive 1980’s bhp figures

The fact it actually exists gives me SOME faith in Fiats marketing department who are sadly failing so hard against the competition [emoji43]

I know this is an old post...but lol.

Let's put a number on how limited it is..

Over 65k sold and counting..technically it is a limited edition in that there's a finite amount of resources to build them out of and only 1 billion possible customers but in general these things don't tend to define that..
