I failed to find the graphic equaliser thingummy this morning...

Can anyone tell me which buttons to push?

Sorry if that sounds very lazy of me... :D

Hi 4x4Panda,

You have to press the musical note button (it doesn't seem to have a name!), and then scroll either up or down or left or right until you get to My EQ. I can't remember which way is correct, but you'll soon see which one is correct when the various menu settings flash up (like Bass, Treble etc).

Once you get to My EQ you then have to press Menu (it does prompt you to do this), and then you can go about changing the various settings.

I would suggest digging out your manual to look at the stereo operation as I can't remember how you save the settings. It was ages ago that I did this originally!

Thanks again Super Uwe

I had a fiddle this evening and the EQ is indeed where you said.

The only 'however' is that there are fewer frequency bands (6 rather than 8) and less granularity (max +/-3) than on the older Blaupunkt in the Mk3.

So, i'm going to have to have a bit more of a fiddle to see what sounds best (y)

All the best

Please post your best settings. I tried to follow the above mentioned recommendations but as you said there are less bands and less granularity as in panda mk3. Just can't find the best setting so l turned off the EQ completely.

Talking about EQ reminds me - I have an USB memory stick plugged in with loads of music on but the car insists on playing them alphabetically - can't seem to find any setting to getting it to pick a track at random like my Punto could.

Is there a way?

Do you have the TomTom unit? That certainly allows more specific selection from an iPhone so I imagine it would handle other USB sources?

Random play from USB without tomtom is certainly possible as that's how I use it. Have a look in the settings on the media player settings. You'll find a random or play anything option.

Press the speech button and say 'shuffle on'. Job done.

Thanks to Super Uwe for the EQ link, thats made things sound a whole lot better! Haven't got any definitive settings yet but a bit more of a fiddle will have it sorted.
The tomtom has arrived and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. Took a while to download the latest updates but all sorted now. The media integration is impressive with the media, nav, phone and car all talking to each other. The air con is baltic too! 500 miles down and its shaping up to be a great little motor. Might it have its biggest test in a couple of weeks if we decide to load it up and take it to its first festival!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
