I am in dire need of finding a carburettor for the MK1 I bough for the Istanbul trip. The throttle disk in the one on the car is cracked and the spindle was seized closed. Otherwise I am supposing that the rest of the unit will work fine (I’m an optimist)

So if anyone can point me to a 2nd user Weber 32ICEV carb unit or service kit, I’ll try not to pull your arm off for it.

Thanks for this and your other post asking for help Alan.

It looks like I may well have cracked it. Who says a bit of isolation and silence isn't good for the thinking mind :)

I'm not sure if the transaction for the ebay parts will work out with the guy in Germany as I've still not had any contact with him. However he does have a few other good bits people may be interested in if they want to go check him out. http://search.stores.ebay.co.uk/Aut...sooZ1QQfsopZ1QQftsZ2QQsaselZ103300406QQsofpZ0

Like I say, comms was good right up to the payment, then nothing. Perhaps I am being pre-judgemental, but confirming shipments would have been good. However it is still early days.

I put a request out on part finder a while ago and today a guy from cats and carbs gave me a call. A nice Guy called George. (01782399769) He says they can fully refurbish the carb for £98+vat inc postage. So I think I'll be going that way.

So sort of a result after all.

Have you tried the 127 and uno crowd? There's not many of the old 903 mk1's left :( Even fewer Seat versions  I'll have an ask around at the Ace tomorrow, best of luck Damon

Well today is looking like a good day.

Posty just left my German carbs. Worst case, if they don't work as single units, at least I should have enough bits to make a full worker.

those look ok, good long soak in carb cleaner will bring them up like new.
