Hi aaron, it will need to be a box from a similar age Panda, or possibly a very early Cinquecento. Any pre 93 Panda will have a rod operated box, they can be converted to the cable change but that will add to the job.
What is wrong with the current gearbox? A rebuild at £250 would not be a bad spend in my opinion, a used box can be a lottery as its quite possible it can have issues aswell.
Agree go for the rebuild. Do the linkage bushes too if you can do the rebuild your self it will be I
Less than £100. Any problems message me or Adam. For help or if we did the 4x4 fo £80; and now siluent and selection is wow.
What are the current problems ???
A rebuild would be best in the long run especially if it only cost £250 Adam did the4x4 himself for <£100 now it is silent and selects perfectly
Selection can be improved by a bush kit £12
Otherwise keep loads of oil in it until it gives up
New bushes in my 88 certainly helped a bit, but isn't a post facelift mk2 (1993) a cable operated selector rather than linkage rod, hence not having selector rod bushes?Selection can be improved by a bush kit £12

Ahh I see, mine is a 1993 and has cable so just wanted to be sureNo mine is a 1993 and has linkage rods.
I didn't know that, good to know! That would explain mine having cable and this one having rodsBosch injection had the cat at the front on the manifold, ran for about a year from the '92 facelift until the Marelli system came in with the cat under the car, hence the change to the internal rod/cable linkage to make room.
