surely he would be better served offering the pandas up for sale as a whole?

Somehow -- and no, I don't know how, either... -- he keeps coming back, just when you think he's gone for good: so someone, as you say, is buying his stuff (which I did once, before learning of his infamy...) -- and he therefore makes more money from parts, than he would do from the whole car.

I don't think it's a sales model with much mileage left in it, though (if you'll excuse the corny metaphor...): because Pandas are going to reach that level (hopefully in the near future) where they really are worth more than the sum of their parts.... :chin:

And, he has, occasionally, put the whole car up for sale -- but usually on a very short auction; not for a very attractive price; and with a snide dig at the Forum.... He certainly knows how to win friends and influence people. :nutter:

It would be nice to cut him off at the source (no corporal harm implied...), and get to the cars before he does -- but there are only so many Pandas we can fit on our drives, and in our garages, unless we buy an old aircraft hangar somewhere....

I agree completely. I myself bought a wheel from him by accident before I realised it was him. I bought it in a frenzied attempt to get it because I needed it which is obviously the market he is going for, so that was well played by him.

If he wasnt so stubborn he would make more money quicker by helping rather than hindering us. And we know he reads the forum so here is how to do that PK

1-Advertise the full cars on the forum
2-Any cars that are beyond saving and noone can take them, ask people what they need and sell it to them at a fair price, noone is saying give them away
3-with a loyal customer base you can sell more frequently to a good group of people. Surely a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush!

This is sad. I was very tempted to buy this Panda myself when it first popped up on Auto Trader.
It will be an utter shame if it ends up broken for spares.

You can still see the dealers sign who sold in the pictures of the boot, so it must be the same car:(

I didn't realise you could see a name history.

I'm obviously doing something wrong as I've never changed mine, or added extra accounts come to that!

God Gav you mean you aren't building up a bad reputation for breaking good cars to make money then changing your username to try to continue getting business selling car parts that you know people are looking for because you read their forum posts and then list the parts for ridiculous prices?? I thought everyone was doing that??

It wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't on here, maybe a lurker, someone that reads the Panda posts but never posts themselves. Could even be an active member, which would be really creepy.

Didn't he come on here once and posted something about why he was doing it?

I strongly suspect he does lurk on here, because there was a good run of time at the beginning of the year where myself and others were talking about things we were needing and the next day he was advertising them on ebay.

I havent read that post myself Freebo but I am interested to!
