Depending on cost, of course, I may not take the wisdom of the crowd into account; but I really would like to keep Betty as original as is possible. (So, yes, I may yet put the 127 wheels on Hal....)

Of course, if anyone has one of these that they don't need anymore, you know where I am...!

I was going to say pretty much the same thing... -- about you, not me, though...!

FIAT obviously -- as with the ridges along the side of the Mk1 -- thought they were an unnecessary elaboration. But I will always know they weren't there....

Anyway... -- only a week...? I am disappointed in you. I thought you would be permanently in mourning....

I've had a thought, I'm due to pick up a tail gate from @puple haze next week.
If it has dimples then I'd be happy to swap it for one that doesn't, as dimples aren't my priority

Well I checked my spare Mk1 tailgate today and that didn't even have dimples so I'm not so sure they are as indicative of age as we think.
