No idea Stuart - just saw it on gumtree earlier. Shame its not local to me - might have had 2 Pandas myself :)

Ooops, sorry, I picked it up wrong and thought you were selling it. I'll chase it up tomorrow to see what's what.

I have all the gear to go into it if its in good order.

I've been hatching a plan to put the French Panda back on the road late in the new year and making it into a "posh Panda" as it already has electric windows and central locking, then fitting Punto Sporting front Seats, recovering all the seats, dash and door cards in tan leather and painting the car in "Edizione Maranello House" red (Yes I have my own unique paint colour) it the one I specially made up for the Lancia I restored last year, but if this one was in good order I might be tempted to do the work on it instead. Plus I've never owned a selecta.

Here's a photo of the paint I'm on about. Its a deep red in dull weather but in direct sunlight it becomes a vibrant red metallic. Its also pearled and candied. Took 3 days to design.

Well I have bought it and will collect tomorrow. Have a couple of old ones in a shed at home and will change the steering column from one of them. Will keep you updated re condition etc. Meanwhile hunt for a good 4x4 in NI goes on!

Should have noted I live in Fermanagh. Should have named myself most Westerly Pandas in UK!

Well done. You nipped in before me. The Panda contingent is starting to grow here now.

Well got Maisie home and she is a lot better than I expected. Came with every service and repair invoice since 1994. All in all a huge history folder. She's the 1100 version and has just turned 50k miles. Steering seems okay with just the shroud of the steering coloumn broken. Rear suspension seems different from my other Pandas - a mk1 and a mk2 so will try to post up a pic for comment when it's drier. Overall starts and stops and as a CLX is the poshest one I have owned to date. Will keep you posted!

They bent back the drivers door frame and popped up door lock. Seller told me they came back the next night and tried again which was amazing given their tasty choice of cars in the car park where I collected her. Was quite late when I got home so will take for a run tomorrow and see how she goes.

Well all well with Maisy and now looking for a good modern Panda 1.2 for my wife. Some bargains on Copart and dithering between petrol and diesel. Btw my Selecta has been deregistered whatever that means.

Where's the best place to sell a 2000 Clio?

The DVLA when I looked for a tax book. Not simple but will get it sorted eventually. Will post some pics of the Panda collection soon.

Waiting on DVLA to email back. The previous owner seems to have followed some kind of anti-establishment group that believes cars are private property and as such are not subject to mundanities such as road tax etc. Go to YouTube /google and check out 'car private property' for an alternative view of the world!

Haha, Freemans law or whatever?

I know a lot of people sent dvla letters saying they own the car because the way the v5 is worded it can be interpreted that the dvla own you car.

I am surprised the dvla actually seem to have done something about it though by deregistering it. I know taxing the panda is only £130~ a year. Seems a small sum to save dealing with the no doubt daily hassle from the police/council on "wheres your tax disc"
