*cough...stretches and draws in breath*

Hello all, not been back here for a while...but...

Spotted this, http://liverpool.gumtree.com/liverpool/87/73016687.html

Looked too good not to give an airing on here as I know some people may be on the look out.

I know I'm not a panda classic regular but I do still keep my eye out.

*goes off to see what Jim has been up to for the last couple of years before shuffling back to a dusty corner*

It's certainly been resprayed. Evident on the inside door shot. Looks lovely. Someone on here should buy it!

My thoughts: Tempting to max out the credit card and go and pick it up, but with what I have already and it being so mint, I would just want to hide it away from the elements and not use it often. Would you go and do any real off-road with this car? When it snows, would you go out in it to fill it with salt? It's a tough one for me. I would prefer it if it were a 2WD as it would be less than a grand and more practical and useable in my opinion.

I've seen this in real life. Preeeety sure it belongs to the guy who I bought my boot and bonnet off.

Its absolutely MINT. And I mean - MINT. It was in drawdroppingly good condition when I saw it a few months ago which was just after the first coat of paint. The interior is sound, the paintwork is smooth and the drivetrain look in great condition.

It's well looked after in a heated garage and the owners are really nice people, Panda enthusiasts too.

Hope someone on here buys it!

Mmm, that is very nice, cheap too I'd say.

Quite a few people I know who are not Panda fans are starting to pay attention to the 4x4's now. Thier off road ability is becoming common knowledge, and they are on the point of being a genuine classic.

4x4's of this quality should be nudging £2000 soon, if not now.
I just added another one to my fleet today so I now have every reason to want there values to increase ;).

Thank you all for the kind comments! I so don't want to sell this car (especially as I love the colour and the fact it is so simple and clean). However, needs must, and I'm pleased to say that (after a few messers) it's been sold to someone new to Pandas, who sounds like they will use and look after it well. Hopefully a new introduction to the Forum.

All the best

David

Ah David, so it was yours! looked to be worth every penny so I hope you didn't drop the price too much.

David.....curious as to why you did not offer it on here? Just being nosey!

Hi Kev

With hindsight I should have done. I tried the classics ads first and to be honest was busy enough fielding enquiries through them. Having gone through that experience I'm sure the quality of the enquiries through the forum would be much better. Also, we needed to get the money we wanted for the car and I would have been tempted to undersell if a Forum member had expressed an interest.

Hope you're not missing Sid too much, sounds like he's gone to a very good home. These Pandas are hard to say goodbye to. Yet again I'm going to be saying to the new owner "please offer it back to us if you ever come to sell".

All the best

David
