so my light switch has been duff for months, its no big deal but as the days get lighter more noobs are going to flash me and tell me i have my heads lights on so i really need it fixing.

I havent taken the switch apart so i dont know whats behind it.

but would it be possible to replace it with a 3 way toggle switch like this one?

i too have a switch going duff, BAD earthing again! inside the switch has pins on both sides wich make contact when slid downwards. not fixable as the pins has melted into the suround!
after another one.:-(

Can't say I ever get is issue an my lights are always on.

That switch may work, depends what the pins do.

When mine went I had a double switch setup for the four wires, one switch controlled position lamps and the other dipped beam.
