Afternoon all,
Are the seats, specifically the sub frames, the same in all older fiats? Im trying to fit normal seats but I can't because the panda subframe mounting on the side of the shell not on the floor. Is a panda subframe the same as a Tipo or Uno? I have already found those but not for a Panda. Help!

There are two types of Panda subframe, with the vast majority being the later type with three bolts on a plate on the floor and the rear sat in vertical runners welded to the floor. They are not like any other FIAT design I'm afraid. There are other threads out there with in depth pondering and procrastination on the subject, so please search.

Yep, only later Panda seats will bolt straight into a later Panda, as Lewey says. Give me till the end of the week and I will be able to tell you what's involved in fitting either Punto or Seicento seats, as I'm just about to fit some to one of my Pandas.

Lewey - I did try the search feature but I was hoping it had been managed since some of those posts.

VmanC - If you could give me some tips they would be gratefully accepted. If you don't mind me asking what are you doing with the old drivers seat?

Hi Panda Pete, I've already done it I'm afraid. Both of my old seats are now fitted to Mandapandas Poppi.

I placed the Seicento sporting seats into one of my Pandas today to check for fitment issues, and also to see if the trim colour suited the car.

The rear seat would need alot of modification to fit, probably not worth the effort. The front seats should be relatively straight forward.
I have a pair of front seats in black and grey, apparently from a Punto sporting, but they look to be the same as the Seicentos. I will be fitting these along with the original Panda rear seat over the next few days.

Here's how the Seicento seats looked............

As you can see the rear seat won't sit in the right position around the wheel arches, forcing the base to be too far forward. If I was going to use Seicento seats I'd fit the fronts and use the material from the rear to cover the original Panda seat to match. Sadly for this car I don't have the time or budget.

Its a shame the backseats don't fit in properly as it looks pretty smart.

Obviously panda seats are in demand! I'll stick a wanted up on here in a second and try ringing the scrappies around here and see if they have one. I only really want the base and don't care about the fabric condition.

I've got a couple of seat frames, or did you mean the foam?

Yeah it is the frames that bolt the seat to the car that im looking for. This sound like something you have going spare?

Hey Vman, those seats look smart :)

Sciento Sporting you say?..... Are they a bolt in - bolt out job or something moreso?

Cheers :)

Sorry Alex not quite that simple.
The fronts won't fit between the runners of the MK2 to reach the floor. I will be cutting out the runners so that the Punto sporting seats I have can then be bolted to the floor, after I've drilled holes for them of course.
The red/black Seicento seats on the pic look to be the same seats as the Punto ones so the procedure would be the same for fitting them.
If someone could confirm that Punto sporting and Seicento sporting seats are the same it would be useful as I never got to see the car my Punto seats came from, was just told by the vendor that that's what they were, but I'm wondering if he may have got it wrong and they are in fact Seicento seats too.

As for the rear seats, well they would need alot of work to fit a Panda. I would rather use the material from the Seicento rear seat to re cover the Pandas original. I'd have to pay a professional about £300 to do it but that's still a better option. Charmania's budget won't run to this but I may do it to another one in the future.

VmanC - Great! I only need 1 so if Jon needs two and you have 3... ;) That is if you don't mind parting with all of your spares!!
