Just ran the first tank of fuel through my little 4x4. It got me 32 to the gallon (UK that is)

So I was wondering, just for a bit of an info bit.
How do you all feel about posting your Panda's details and what you last got on the MPG for a full tank.

The way I did mine was to node down the last 3 numbers of the mileage (131) filled the tank right up and ran it till the red light came on and checked it again (308) then, filled the car up again (25.46) and checked how many litres I had used. I then used a google search for UK MPG Calculator.

Mine came out at:-
1990 4x4 panda, 131K miles on the clock. 32 mpg. :D

I look forward to seeing how you all do (y)

p.s. it's a whole lot better than the 20 mpg i get on my other car :bang:
Hi fellow panda fans.I did a run up north in my sisley 4x4 the other day with my brother and enough gear for a 2 day stay.I let the sisley run out in london to check the mpg correctly.she returned 44.9 mpg at a near enough constant 50-60mph with the occasional 65mph down hills to maintain good speed up the other side.litres/4.54 =gallons,mileage/gallons=mpg.hope this is right.

I agree with you, and similar schemes are adopted in other parts of Europe too, if I remember correctly lots of Twingos (and other cars) in France had A plates on.

I resent the idea of being restricted myself, and the drive home from Scotland would take several hours longer too, but there's probably no question about it being safer. :)

only 16% of crashes at high speeds are young drivers. probably because a young persons first car is not capable of high speeds :D

but 42% of crashes are 30-40 year old drivers, and this is the experienced driver, who has an average car (ford mondeo 2.0 LX).

so having a R plate, or an A plate and a lower maximum speed for newly passed drivers wont do much, it would be better to do this to the 30-40 age group.

I hated the damn things (R plates).

....and still haven't used enough fuel to do an MPG test!

Thou I could do a weekly JPB wine test? That would be Jim per bottles (of wine) per week! We're on 3.5 JPB at the moment

Every car i've owned has been capable of 110mph+ (1.5 auto hyundai pony and 1.0 GSX micra mk1 being the slowest) except this panda (but then again it was shut in a barn for a year and i haven't streached it's legs recently)

also my girl friend has a mondeo 2.0 LX and is 28 i'll get her to sell it next year so she doesn't crash when she hits 30 ;)

.......120mph.................Big hill on A31 in new forest and had a full load (slows you down uphill but down hill very helpful) to say it was noisey is an understatement....hyundai got 115mph the first time i owned it second time it got 110mph (with a blown HG), both cars took forever to get there.
