Hi all. Just after a bit of advice.

Rear shocks - these work fine and are not leaking but they are rusty (surface). I was going to rub them down and hammerite them - but would this cause me problems at mot time?

Rear exhaust box - again, I have a little surface rust on the rear box - I was just looking to put something on to make it look tidier and to stop the rot getting any worse. What would be best as the exhaust gets very hot? The box still looks fairly new and even has manufacturer's sticker still on it.


I'm not after a concours look - I just want something practical and tidy! I think the rear shocks would look lovely re-done in the blue!:slayer:

I can't see any problems with it, your not hiding any holes or bodged handy work so it should be ok. As for the bak box, household radiator paint would be an option but you can get high temp spray paint.
