I made four mounting brackets from 5x50mm flat bar which will be welded to the rear upright box sections of the chassis, two on either side. The rear bull bar will then be simply bolted to these brackets. I've clamped the bull bar to the back of the Rat so that the mounting brackets can be accurately tack welded in place before being fully welded.
The brackets will hold the rear bull bar 40mm proud of the rear. I intend to make two panels from ally chequer plate to fix at either end of the bull bar to mount the rear lights in.
