having not touched my 128 for some time now my friends have been coming up with some wacky ideas but this one i liked.converting it to four wheel drine with a 2 litre twin cam or just rear drive with the same engine. anyone got any ideas on how it could be done( transmition etc) or if it can be done

How about getting the drivetrain off a Lada Niva and Fiatising it. Lada stuff is basically crap that needs to be re-engineered for the higher horsepower. So use Fiat internals in the Niva gearbox and drivetrain.
This is just off the top off my head. How about the Panda 4x4 could you use that with a Uno turbo engine ?
That would keep the power to weight ratio good.

Hi i been looking into putting a nissan gtir 4wd floor pan in order to make it 4wd but alot of work and money and enginering involved and dont know if the fact that my fiat is a 128 sl coup will make a differance to your sedan ? At the end of the day anything is possible. Happy Fiating.

What about lancia delta integrale cramshaft it was 4x4 and i think u will fill that camshaft very easy
