,,,,and its very, very good. The 2 litre CRDi is punchy as hell, but also smooth due to the variable turbo (No lag basically). I don't think Kia are a joke anymore due to the fact that they have now taken on alot of German engineers to design the c'eed.

I think we will be selling a few of these.

(In the background on one of the shots a GP that someone traded for a 207:eek::eek:, bad move! I would have kept the GP)

am i the only one that thinks, along with the astra sport hatch, they are trying to copy the look a 3 door stilo a little :D

and i hate the 207 saggy/floppy wing mirrors ;)

No they are not a joke despite me making fun of them in a recent post. We had one delivered for an evalation at work (Fleet) and we couldn't get the keys back off the engineers. My turn next week for two day and can't wait. Yes, it's the diesel too.

A mate picked up a ceed the other day and from what I saw its a nice car ..its built in europe and has a 5* ncap on it ..Kia are no longer a joke and their one to watch out for in the future ..

The thing is, and this a huge point to make. is that Kia are taking on the Japanese in the Euro market. Having driven/owned the new shape Civic, I can whole heartedly say that the new Civic is no where near as solid or as nice to drive as the new c'eed, be 3 or even the 5dr.

PS sorry posted in the wrong bit, thanks Mr/Mrs/Ms/Miss Admin type person.

The car was great to drive and I could be very temped in the future to buy one ..great leval of comfort and as you said very solidly built .. Their factory out in poland is absolutly massive we were shown the photo's by the sales man at the dealers ..shame he said they werent aloud to go out and see for thems selves and that was down to evans halshaw [tightwads]

;)

as regarding the car will have a look out for reviews and see what else they bring on the market - i am still not convinced though i have to say

Indeed, the old shape Rio, the Pride and old shape Sportage are fine examples of motoring nastiness. However, all the new Kias are getting better, the c'eed, Carens, Sedona etc are all well built.

That's a Kia? Christ things have moved on haven't they. Shame about the name though, damn shame.

I had a Cerato for a day and there wasn't really much you could fault it on bar knowing that a few years down the line it might not wear as well as others, the Cerato felt like a rebadged Mitsi of early 90's.

I still don't see that many on the roads and I drive 80 miles every day in rush hour traffic, don't think everyone is convinced TBH.

i'd honestly rather have a cee'd than a bravo. i think they're better inside and out. i think of it as a corolla with style. when i started a thread saying for me the cee'd was the most exciting new car of 2007 people laughed and said kia were crap, short sighted fools. fiat cant compete with the kia package. if kia can overcome brand snobbery they'll do very well. fiat sold twice as many cars in 2007 as kia, i bet the gap narrows in 2008.

I wouldn't buy one as a personal car but I agree there solid reliable cars (they have to be for a 5year unlimited warranty!). Maybe as a company vehicle were you don't mind them being dull as dish water.

See theres the rub, we are beginning to take our FIATS "issues" as character, the Kia C'eed Pro is not dull, it is however reliable, goes like hotsnot too. Looks the Mutts Nuts. I would have one in a heartbeat!

In fact I might well do so in March having seen that baby in the OP's pic!

I wouldn't unless they bring out a serious performance model/ coupe type thing, which is unlikely given their market.

The looks are still rather iffy as well - the front end is Pug 2097, the middle bit is Stilo and the back end is mk5 Fiesta. Nice. I could never buy an ugly car.

i honestly think its better looking than Golf/Corolla/Civic/Astra/Megane/Focus/Bravo

i think the A3 and Leon are better looking than the cee'd, but i cant think of anything else in this class that is. its the cee'd chunky wedge shape that does it for me.

helz is right they need a hot version, even if its only to improve the reputation of the range as a whole. the current fastest model is the 1.6 petrol, 120bhp and 0-60 in 10.6secs, that means someone like me wouldnt even consider buying one.

i wonder what the CRDi would be like after a remap :chin:
