Hi have a blue screen on my reversing camera on a fiat 500x plus.
I read somewhere if you take the battery leads off for 5 minutes it would hard reboot the system and the camera might work, however that didn't work.

I suspect wiring connection however is there anything on this forum that tells you how to take the trim off the tailgate? I assume you need to do this to access the camera?

Also, if anyone has come across this fault before and could let me know what to do i would be very grateful.

Thank you for the link.

It appears that someone has had the problem but there was no resolution posted or how it was fixed. My first port of call would be to look at the connections to the camera but have no idea how to access them.

Thank you for helping though.

500X with reversing cameras are rare over here unfortunately. However if you check the Jeep Renegade and other Jeep/Chrysler sites in the US you'll find it's not uncommon. Check the camera wiring, it is likely you might need to replace the camera itself though

After I power hosed moss out of the nooks and crannies on the boot of the car, I got the dreaded blue screen, although the camera occasionally worked when I first started the car up. After a week or so, the camera started to function normally again. No problems since.

Its been a while since i posted and i have lived with the blue screen when reversing, however the last couple of weeks the reversing camera started to work again intermittently ( on a couple of occasions not working again now)

I have had the camera/tailgate off and it looks a complete unit so you cannot change the camera, however it does appear to be a poor seal and the previous poster who said it stopped working after he jet washed the back of the car would seem to be conducive with having a poor seal.

Still no one seems to know how to troubleshoot this fault ,

is it the camera ?
is the fault at the display end?
is it a connection at the tailgate?

if anyone has any ideas how to troubleshoot the problem i would be grateful.
