Hi All

I've got to do some work to sort my brothers punto. Its a 2004 1.2 been in the family years, was my grandads car.

Got a few issues.
Airbag light on, whilst taking apart front brakes snapped a caliper carrier bolt (m10) struggling to get another
Brake fluid - low and wondered what type to put in
Replacement speakers, old ones have all failed but 1 lol
Sump porous
Rear brakes need doing
Bit of a whiff of fuel/fumes on startup (needs investigating)
Glove box catch broken

Done in the last week -
Front brakes (minus 1 bolt)
Anti roll bar bushes
New gearstick/linkage
Basic oil service

My brother is a student and needs me to be his mechanic, any help appreciated, quote familiar with Alfas so Fiat must be the sames sort of

Cheers

James

Hi James and welcome

Being a mk2 there is a VAST history of such questions on here

SEARCH is very good.. you can use a search term : glovebox

And a section.. Punto mk2

You will find LOTS ;)

Unfortunately most of the mk2 's have made cheap parts even cheaper.. :(

So the section itself is pretty quiet..
But the Panda is dead basic too.. produced at same time with same tech

The GUIDES for the punto is the best on here.. due to so many contributors :)

Brake fluid.. get your carrier sorted.. then flush the lot..

Dot 3..or 4.. they are NOT flash..

Nothing too complex about the old 188 punto's

I actually liked them :)
